BRIDGEWATER, N.J — The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, were defeated by the Somerset Patriots 7-3 Sunday afternoon at TD Bank Ballpark, splitting the six-game series.

Orelvis Martinez launched his third home run of the season in the first inning off Somerset starter Blas Castano (1-0) to open the scoring for New Hampshire (8-7), a three-run home run over the wall in left-center. It was the third straight game where the Fisher Cats scored in the first inning. It was also Martinez’s second homer of the series.
Miguel Hiraldo extended his hit streak to five games, tying a team-long, with a single in the seventh.
After getting two hits in the first inning, New Hampshire’s offense put up only three more for the remainder of the game.
Somerset (8-7) right fielder Jeisson Rosario went 3-for-4 on the day with two home runs and four RBIs. He homered off New Hampshire starter Sem Robberse (0-1) in the fourth and then gave the Patriots the lead with a three-run homer off Nick Fraze in the fifth to put them ahead for good.
The Fisher Cats return home for a 12-game homestand with the first six games against the Hartford Yard Goats beginning Tuesday night at 6:35 pm.
