GNAC honors O’Brien

WINTHROP, Mass. — The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced Monday that Colby-Sawyer graduate student Cooper O’Brien (Vergennes, Vt.) has been selected as the GNAC player of the week.

O’Brien went 3-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep of Mass. Maritime, and had a home run in each contest. He also had a double, four runs scored, and three RBIs. In addition, O’Brien walked three times, contributing to his .500/.667/1.667 slash line.

With the two home runs, O’Brien moved up to fifth all-time among Colby-Sawyer players in career home runs with 14. He’s tied with Justin Litchfield.
