Ivy League recognizes Dumsky

HANOVER – First-year pitcher Marco Dumsky was named the Ivy League’s Rookie of the Week on Monday following his performance on the mound during Wednesday night’s 3-0 victory at Long Beach State.

Dumsky pitched 6.1 scoreless innings, and limited Long Beach State to two hits. He walked one batter and collected eight strikeouts en route to his first career collegiate win and the Big Green’s first win of the season.

Although that was the first start of his college career, Dumsky has come out of the bullpen twice for the Big Green, once in the opening series against Sam Houston and again against North Florida. In those two relief appearances, Dumsky combined for 2.2 innings pitched and allowed four runs on three hits.
