Rhode Island College junior Dan Trzepacz was named the Little East Conference Player of the Week on Monday after batting .588 (10 for 17) and slugging 1.118 while totaling two home runs, three doubles, eight RBIs and eight runs scored.
Trzepacz, a first baseman who played at Souhegan High School, went 5 for 7 with four runs scored, six RBIs, two doubles and a homer in a as RIC swept a doubleheader versus Skidmore by scores of 17-3 and 5-3 to close out action at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. Trzepacz then went 5 for 7 with four runs scored, two RBIs, a double and a homer as the Anchormen swept a twin bill from Rivier in the club’s home opener Saturday by scores of 9-8 and 9-4.
