PLYMOUTH – Off to a torrid start at the plate, Plymouth State University senior Josh Goulet (Nashua, N.H.) was honored by D3baseball.com with inclusion on its Team of the Week for the week ending Mar. 10.
Goulet, an outfielder who played high school baseball at Nashua South, has been terrorizing pitchers to start the season, posting a .474/.500/1.474 slash line through the Panthers’ first five games. He went 7-for-14 at the plate for Plymouth State last week, with all seven hits going for extra bases (three doubles, four home runs). On Saturday he tied a program record, blasting three homers and adding a double as part of a 4-for-5, four runs scored, five-RBI effort in a wild 11-10 win over Rockford University. He led the Panthers with seven runs scored and nine RBIs on the week.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com’s weekly honor roll. It recognizes the top performers at each of the nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school’s sports information and athletics communications offices.
PSU continues its spring trip with a game against Vassar College today.
