Ravens earn conference awards

MANSFIELD, Mass. — Two members of the Franklin Pierce baseball team received weekly honors from the Northeast-10 conference. Nolan DeAndrade (Bridgewater, Mass.) was named Player of the Week and Kyle Salvati (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) was named Pitcher of the Week.

DeAndrade had three home runs, two triples, and two doubles for nine RBIs and six runs across five games for the Ravens this week. DeAndrade capped off a performance against Post on Thursday with a three-run home run. His five-RBI day powered the Ravens to the 10-3 victory over the Eagles. In a 3-2 week for the Ravens, he hit 7-of-17 (.412) at the plate, with all of his hits being for extra bases.

Salvati pitched 6.0 innings, giving up two hits, no earned runs and striking out an incredible 12 batters in the 1-0 extra-inning win over Wilmington (Del.) on Friday.  With two appearances so far this season, Salvati currently sits atop the NE10 with 17 strikeouts.

The Ravens are back in action this weekend for two doubleheaders with Queens (N.Y.), Friday and Saturday.
