Colby collects MAAC award

Amherst resident Nolan Colby was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week after he helped the Fairfield University baseball team to a 4-0 week that extended the team’s winning streak to nine games.
Colby, who played at Souhegan High School, hit over .300 and picked up a hit in every game of the conference series against Manhattan, highlighted by his first career homer on Friday. Colby also scored a run in each game of the series with two extra-base hits and two RBIs.
