Fisher Cats 6, Yard Goats 0

HARTFORD, Conn. – A quality start by Fisher Cats starter Jackson Wentworth and a big day out of Victor Arias propelled the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (14-19, 48-52) to a 6-0 win Sunday at Dunkin’ Park against the Hartford Yard Goats (15-18, 54-47), 6-0. Wentworth’s outing was the third consecutive strong performance by a Fisher Cats’ starter, following Danny Thompson Jr.’s quality start on Saturday and Austin Cates’ 10-strikeout night on Friday.

Wentworth (W, 5-6) held the Yard Goats scoreless in his six-inning start. Sunday’s start for Wentworth was his third quality start this season, and his second scoreless six-inning start. Following fellow starter Thompson Jr.’s quality start from Saturday night, it’s the first time in 2026 that Fisher Cats starters have posted back-to-back quality starts.

Righty relievers TJ Brock, Aaron Munson, and Yondrei Rojas combined for the final three frames and kept the Goats scoreless. Hartford starter Connor Staine (L, 7-3) reached six innings but allowed four runs on four hits and a walk.

On the offensive side, Arias led the offense with a 2-for-4 game and drove in four of New Hampshire’s six runs. Following an RBI single in the top of the first inning, Arias launched a three-run home run over the right field fence and out of Dunkin’ Park in the top of the third.

The Cats struck first in the Sunday finale. Designated hitter Carter Cunningham led off the game with a walk and stole second. Two batters later, Arias ripped an RBI singled and made it 1-0.

Leading by a run, left fielder Mathieu Vallee doubled to start the third. Cunningham reached on a drop third strike and the Cats put the first two batters on. Following a popout, Arias (8) annihilated a fastball and demolished it 437 ft to make it 4-0.

The Cats’ bats stayed hot in the eighth. Shortstop Arjun Nimmala singled and Arias walked to open the frame. With runners at first and second, first baseman Dub Gleed laced a two-run double and extended New Hampshire’s lead to six.
