Legion: Bedford wins again

Jack Hinton went 4 for 4 with three RBIs to lead Bedford Post 54 to a 16-6 six-inning victory over Shrewsbury, Mass., Friday in the American Legion Baseball Northeast Regional.
Bedford, which improved to 2-0 in the tournament, will face Essex, Vt., today (9:30 a.m.). Essex is also 2-0.
Bedford scored six runs in the first inning and five in the fourth. Noah Durham earned the victory for tossing two innings of scoreless relief. He struck out three.
Ethan Strand also had two hits for Post 54.
